Stainless mesh is widely used in various areas of our lives. Stainless mesh is used for sieving of food products and non-food materials, for the separation and control of particle size of various etiologies of materials, as reinforcement in the manufacture of concrete and other construction materials, during the filtration of gases and liquids in the chemical industry, as well as filtering cloth in the food, chemical and heavy industries.

In construction and mechanical engineering industries, stainless mesh is used for fencing, insulation, transportation, forming various objects. Stainless mesh is intensively used in the pulp-and-paper and woodworking industries. Stainless mesh is an irreplaceable material for oil and gas industry and geologic works.

Stainless mesh is widely used in everyday life. It's used for fencing a territory, livestock corrals, and fish hatcheries. The range of application of the mesh is depends on the size of cells, thickness of the wire, and steel grade of which it manufactured.

The cell size of the stainless mesh is varied from 0.023 to 20 mm, as the thickness of the wire from 0.022 to 3 mm. Depending on the stainless steel wire texture, mesh could be plain and woven, braiding of woven stainless mesh is called "a duck".

Woven stainless steel mesh is made from high-alloy steel: 12H18N9T, 12H18N10T, 12H18N9, 08H18N10. It is important to pay attention to the fact that defects in the form of checkmark, loop and twist should be no more than 2 per 1 sq. m., the interweaving should be flat and accurate and form a square cells. Twists, mechanical damages, torn and stitched spots are not allowed.

Ready to use stainless mesh is rolled into coils. The maximum number of individual fragments in a roll is 5 pieces. The minimum size of each fragment is 2 m for grid with a mesh size of 0.4 - 2.0 mm, and more than 7 m for grids with mesh size of 2.2 - 20 mm. The maximum weight of a roll of woven stainless mesh 80 is pounds, but by mutual agreement between the buyer and the manufacturer the weight of one roll can reach 25 - 200 kg.

Each roll of woven stainless steel mesh must be labeled as following: the reference designation of mesh, mesh size, wire thickness, length and total number of mesh in a roll, trademark or data about the manufacturer. This is an important point that is worth of paying attention at, in order to purchase a good quality product. The production of stainless steel mesh and woven stainless steel mesh is regulated by GOST 3826 - 82.
